ferns are flowerless, spore producing plants, with roots, stems, and leaves called fronds. they developed from the earliest vascular plants, such as cooksonia. ferns first appeared in the devonian period. ferns remain succsessful plants today - there are over 12,000 living varieties. ferns are great survivors after volcanic eruptions, they are the first plants to grow again in a landscape. i think ferns are cool plants.
lizards have really good camouflage, so if a predator is coming the way it will hide is by climbing up on something that has the same design as it's back on it. lizards come in all different sizes, some are tiny, and others are huge. lizards belong to a group of animals called reptiles along with crocodiles, alligators, and, and many more. lizards live on every continent except Antarctica. lizards have tails that can reach up to 3 feet. if a lizards tail gets cut off it might be able to grow it back. some lizards hibernate during summer. lizards are really awesome reptiles, well in my opinion.
bats are the only flying mammals. their wings are made of leathery skin. most bats sleep during the day, hanging upside down in caves, attics, and other dark places. they come out at night to hunt. bats find things in the dark by giving out a series of high-pitch clicks. the bats tell where they areand locate (find) prey from the echoes (sounds that bounce back to them) this is called echolocation. bats do not blind, their eyesight os as good as that of most humans. there are 900 species of bat, living on all continents except Antarctica. most bats feed on insects, but fruit bats feed on fruit. many tropical flowers rely on fruit bats to spread their pollen. i think a bat is a very awesome mammal.
monkeys belong to a pack of mammals called primates, along with apes, gorillas, human, lemurs, and lorises. habitat is another word for where something lives, and the habitat of a monkey is normally in trees, and their hands have fingers and their feet have toes that are all meant for gripping branches to climb trees. most monkeys also have tails. monkeys (from the Americans) live in treesand often have muscular tails that can grip like a hand. these tails are described as prehensile. i think monkeys are a cool type of primate.
the tiger is the biggest cat in the world. it is easy to recognize, with it's coat of red-orange and black stripes. the tiger is a strong and powerful hunter. it has sharp teeth,and strong jaws, and a muscular body. the tiger is a carnivore this means it only eats meat, so it eats other animals. you know that the largest known Siberian tiger weighed 1,027 pounds! the tiger is a mammal which means it's warm blooded. the best known tiger is the Bengal in India. 100 years ago, tigers were found in Asia. now they are found in fewer places. some tigers live in countries where it gets very cold. you know me Mikaela Writer my favorite type of cat is of course the tiger.

as you all know a dandelions are weeds they are bad to the earth. they can get stuck in cracks on your drive way if you own a farm or a garden or a flower bed here's a warning, if you find any of these in your garden, farm, or your flower bed then go to the store and by weed killer. dandelions grow most often in spring. if dandelions are near plants they can kill them or either stop them from growing. so keep dandelions away from plants!

The Grand Canyon is a very famous landmark, it’s in Arizona. It is many colors and very very very very very tall in fact it is more than 4000 feet to the bottom. It is very ancient .At the end of the Grand Canyon there is a river. The forces that created the Grand Canyon also riddled much of the West with a big hole (called a chasm) and mountains and towers. As the light of the sunset sets the light makes the Grand Canyon change colors. The earth is buckling, lifting but some places are just falling. The rock layers on the Grand Canyon each represent some change in the world. The Grand Canyon first was an ocean then the water carved away the rocks and it became a big river. Then the canyon got deeper and it is set like that today. The Grand Canyon seems permanent with it’s gigantic cliffs and temples - buttes with the beauty of temple spires-that gathered together around each other, more everlasting, certainly, than are fast lives and even faster visits. But permanence doesn’t describe or explain the Grand Canyon’s existence. Change does. The Grand canyon is older than 18.6 billion years old but still very important. The Grand Canyon has more then ten-billion three-thousand and 987 rocks on it. It is very ancient and important, and in my opinion it’s really cool.
You would think elaphante don't have any hair on there body but there's hair on every part of there body don't you think that's cool? Elephants are mammals three species of elephants are living today the African bush elephant and the African forest elephant and the Asian elephant also known as the Indian elephant and all the other species are exstinct.Elephants are the largest land living creature now living. they are so cool well in my opinion.
sea turtles have a shell that you would think it's brown but it's green. sea turtles lay eggs so here's how it goes:the sea turtle female comes on shore and makes an egg chamber to lay her eggs in then she lays her eggs then she leaves her babies because sea turtle males and females don't take care of there eggs/babies. Anyways then after a while the eggs hatch. Then it takes the hatchling 3 days to get out of the hole they where layed into then the hatchling hast to make there way out in the sea then a knew life cycle begins again. The female lays a clutch of 100 to 150 eggs the eggs are the size of a golf ball.The hatchilings use this tooth they have called the egg tooth to break out of there egg the egg tooth goes away after a while.Sea turtles well to me are really cool1!
As you all no alligators are the darkest green ever! they have very sharp spikes on there back so for future knowledge don't sit on an alligator.Alligators have very sharp teeth so they can bite off a body part of yours don't mean to scare you but it's true.Alligators live in creeks sometimes and ponds and sometimes they come on land but it's not like they are always on land but they do spend a little bit of time on land.Alligators are scary but cool.
Snakes are many different colors they are reptiles. Snakes are very dangerous so just for future nollage don't pet a snake unless it's your pet.Watch out because you might think there not out there well some can camouflage themselves there are some snakes called water snakes that don't bite. My mom told me if you ever see a snake freeze intell it goes away unless it doesn't then run the fastest you can. Snakes live out in the woods and they might get into your garden I don't mean to scare you but once a snake got into my garden and we had to call this guy to come get it because he loved snakes and he had a fiew others anyways he took him and a fiew months later he had babies oh and I left something out but I got to pet the snake before he left!and it was really cool to pet a snake for the very first time because snakes are so cool.
As you all know grass is green accept in Africa and Egypt it is yellow. You would think that soccer players play on grass but they don't they play on somthing kinda like grass but not it's called turf. there is alot of grass on earth but more ocaen. Grass is ofcourse a part of nature and a very important part. The grass that pepole have in there in there backyards some pepole call that lawn.Grass is really important to the earth and really cool to me.
cheetahs are the fastest animal that lives on land. Cheetahs can go many miles an hour. Cheetahs live in Africa and some other places. Cheetahs are not the gentlest creature in the world because if they bite you it would really heart you. Cheetahs have spots but not stripes like tigers. Ofcourse cheetahs are a part of the cat family and is the fastest in the cat family.They have short ears and sharp teeth and whiskers like all cats it is not the biggest in the cat family the lion is. I think cheetahs are a really cool part of the cat family.
there are seven colors in the rainbow here's the order it goes in red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo,violet when you see a rainbow it means it just stop raining. there can be double rainbows rainbows of course are very colorfull. After a rainy storm here comes the rainbow. normally if a rainbow comes out it comes out right after the storm.I think rainbows are really cool.
Rivers can have creatures live in them like ofcourse fish and a lot others. sometimes in the spring or summer families go out to go rafting or boating. In the old days Indians drank from the river and cooled down with the river it practically saved there lives. If you thought you found a river but you wern't shr here's how you would no for shr they don't always but might have bushes or trees around them Instead of sand of ground like the ocean it's like the river the ground is made out of rocks and maybe just a little bit sand.I think rivers are really pretty and cool.
Dolphins live in the ocean.They are a member of the fish family.as I learned dolphins are marine mammals.
Dolphins don't worry a lot about getting eaten because to be honest with you there only predator is the shark.and even then even larger sharks dare to attack dolphins. A dolphin can stay underwater for 30 to 20 minutes. but it hast to take a big leap out of the water to take a breath.Dolphins are a really cool fish I think.

The thing the penguins are most famous for this:the mom lays the egg then the mom goes on a very very very long food trip for the baby.The males waddle very carefully carrying there future on there feet they make a big huddle to keep the baby safe and warm.Then when the females come back the moms feed the babies with the food the brought.(because the baby hatched out of the egg) then the male is really starving so the dad goes on a very very very very very long eating trip.The baby chicks perants
caterpillars mold a type of caterpillar is Painted Lady. the painted lady is poky( when it's a caterpillar.)
